1950s Swiss Mountain Rucksack

Extra large and extra cool vintage Swiss military Sattler backpack from 1952, ready for new adventures. Built to last with sturdy salt and pepper cotton canvas exterior, thick leather buckle adjustments, heavy duty metal ring hardware and enormous cargo pocket on the front. There are two hard leather loops on the sides for adding attachments, as well as metal clips on the straps for more accessories. There is a long tail attached to the metal ring connecting the shoulder straps - that piece is a mystery to us. Stamp on the back reads "H. Waldburger Sattler Bruggenistgn (sp?) 52, and is hand etched "Harder, Edwin" with a long number that may be a social security number...

• Great condition, the leather and metal show some wear commensurate with age, no structural issues
