Adventure ready vintage hiking backpack with ALL the works. There is a full metal frame in back with multiple strap adjustment options and a buckled leather waist strap to take some of the load off. The strong shoulder straps have mustard yellow felt cushioning and one has a hook to easily release the pack.
The thick green khaki canvas body has 3 buckled cargo pockets around the base and a drawstring cinch closure with buckled flap on top, leading to a very roomy unlined main compartment. There is so much room in this bag, and what seems like a million straps and buckle adjustments. It's very cool! A perfect size for a hearty hike, or even just a dope look for any normal day ;)
Label: None, appears to be Swiss circa 1940s/50s
Measurements: 17" wide (15" across back), 17" high, 5" deep, 18" to 23" shoulder strap length
Content: Sturdy cotton canvas, thick leather straps with felt padding, pewtertone metal hardware, coated metal frame
Condition: Great / there is some topical wear, but nothing outlandish - a few scuffs, some darkening around the metal, curling at the strap tips. Some of the leather shows scuffing and light marks but it is still supple and not cracked. There is one dark mark on the left strap, shown in pics. The leather drawstring cord looks like a newer replacement. Overall the bag is in pretty awesome shape!
